The National Logistics Cell (NLC) is Pakistan’s biggest logistics company. It’s part of the National Logistics Board, which is led by the Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, along with secretaries from other relevant federal ministries.
The NLC was founded in 1978 to help solve Pakistan’s logistics problems. Karachi Port was so congested that the country’s logistics system was paralyzed and essential goods were running out in many parts of Pakistan. The NLC was tasked with providing immediate relief and developing a long-term solution.
